Together we can get to New York. How will you get there is the BIG question?
Are you walking, dancing, swimming, running, cycling?
San Francisco to The Statue of Liberty is 2,906.2 miles = 5,812,000 steps
An average person has a stride length of approximately 2.1 to 2.5 feet. That means
that it takes over 2,000 steps to walk one mile and 10,000 steps would be almost 5 miles.

“Welcome to the Hemophilia Foundation of Northern California’s Team Resilience
Inaugural Fitness Challenge! As we enter March, Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month,
we want to look back on 2020 and recognize the challenges presented to us as
individuals and a community, while also celebrating the resilience our community has
shown time and time again. This Fitness Challenge is our opportunity to rise out of last
year’s trials stronger than ever -- and to do it together!" 

We hope that this platform serves as an opportunity for you to get active, grounded and
connected. Exercise is a critical piece of health and wellness, particularly in the bleeding
disorders community. We hope that this month can help establish (or re-establish)
healthy habits to keep you at your best. These habits include: getting active in a safe
and effective way, eating to nourish your body, & connecting with your community to
keep your mind and heart happy! If you lose a couple quarantine pounds, that’s an
added bonus!
